Overview

Iur Qa Hadfow was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1318, by Gemma. The establishment of Iur Qa Hadfow was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Iur Qa Hadfow's construction back out of the project. Gemma pushed on reguardles, and Iur Qa Hadfow was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Iur Qa Hadfow was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iur Qa Hadfow is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Iur Qa Hadfow is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive cobblestone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Iur Qa Hadfow's peasent-grade are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

The city shows nothing out of the ordinary, at first glance. Then you start to notice all the small things. Each window has seven iron nails pounded into the sill. Every door has a sprig of holly overhead. Every well is branded with purity seals and runes to ward the contents. Everyone is carrying a small charm for safety or fortune, be it a rabbit’s foot, a horseshoe, or other little totems.

History

Iur Qa Hadfow's residents established a new industry 2 years ago, and it’s making them a great deal of profit. Old patterns of authority and wealth are being disrupted, and the old gentry are unlikely to be pleased about it. They may be trying to take over the industry, or they may have been the ones to enable it in the first place and are using it to crush the life out of any rival power bases. Outsiders might be playing a major role as well, and it could be they plot to siphon off the profits.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami ended a famine plaguing Iur Qa Hadfow. One of Iur Qa Hadfow's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
